Jammu, 06-04-2025: In a significant operation, Jammu Police have successfully apprehended a suspected drug peddler during routine patrol in the Machine Domana area under Police Station Domana. The suspect, identified as Raghu Ram, attempted to flee upon noticing the police, but was quickly captured by the alert team.
The accused, Raghu Ram (S/O Ganesh Ram Patel), a resident of Paara Mahatra Kera Jhangir Champa, Chhattisgarh, who is currently residing in Samba, was found in possession of 902 grams of Ganja during the search.
Following the recovery, a case (FIR No. 89/2025) has been registered under Section 8/20 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act at Police Station Domana. Investigations are currently underway to determine whether the accused has connections to a larger drug trafficking network.
Jammu Police have reiterated their commitment to eradicating drug-related crimes and have urged the public to remain vigilant, reporting any suspicious activities to the authorities.
