Tribute to Martyred Soldiers in Kathua, Locals Stand United Against Terrorism

Budhal (Rajouri) – To honor the soldiers martyred in the recent terrorist encounter in Kathua, local residents in Budhal organized a special gathering. A large number of youths, elders, and social activists participated, expressing their solidarity and raising their voices against terrorism.

During the event, speakers paid homage to the sacrifices of the brave soldiers and called for stricter measures to combat terrorism. Locals urged the government and security forces to strengthen security arrangements and provide necessary resources to the public for self-defense.

Speaking to Indian Digital Media, social activist Mohammad Manir Mughal stated:
“We stand firmly with the families of the martyrs and appeal to the Government of India to provide weapons to every village under the Village Defence Committee (VDC) initiative so that locals can effectively counter terrorism.”

He further emphasized the need for Army recruitment drives in hilly areas to provide employment opportunities and channel the youth towards nation-building. “If army recruitment is conducted in these regions, the youth will contribute to national security and play a crucial role in eradicating terrorism,” he added.

Local residents also demanded that security be intensified in sensitive areas of Jammu and Kashmir and that civilians be trained in self-defense.

The people of Budhal pledged to stand strong against terrorism and ensure that the sacrifices of their brave soldiers do not go in vain.
