Rajouri: In a significant boost to the Bharatiya Janata Party, scores of people from Behrote joined the BJP at the District Headquarters Rajouri today, expressing their faith in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s development-oriented governance and welfare-driven policies.
The new entrants were warmly welcomed into the party fold by BJP District President Shri Dev Raj Sharma in the presence of Senior BJP Leader Sushri. Samreen Khan, BJYM District President Sh. Azhar Mehmood, Behrote Mandal President Sh. Qazi Abbas Sadiquie, Mandal President Kha Jamola Sh. Des Raj Sharma, and other senior party leaders and workers.
The joining was led by Aftab Ahmed, who, along with a large number of youth, senior citizens, and local residents, formally joined the BJP after expressing disappointment with the NC and Congress. The new members stated that they were inspired by the BJP’s commitment to inclusive development, transparent governance, and the transformative initiatives launched under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Welcoming the new members, Shri Dev Raj Sharma said that the growing support for BJP reflects the people’s trust in the party’s vision and performance and reaffirmed the party’s commitment to the welfare and development of every section of society.
Senior BJP Leader Samreen Khan said that the continuous expansion of the BJP family is a clear reflection of the people’s faith in Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and the party’s development agenda.
BJYM District President Azhar Mehmood stated that the youth are increasingly associating with the BJP because of its progressive policies, opportunities for growth, and commitment to empowering the younger generation.
Behrote Mandal President Abbas Sadiquie welcomed the new members and expressed confidence that their joining would further strengthen the party’s organizational base and outreach in the region.
Speaking on behalf of the new members, Aftab Ahmed said that BJP’s people-centric policies, including Ayushman Bharat, Jal Jeevan Mission, PM Awas Yojana, PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, and improved road connectivity, have brought tangible benefits to the common people. He added that years of neglect and unfulfilled promises by NC and Congress had compelled many people to place their trust in the BJP and join its mission of development and good governance.
The programme concluded with the new members pledging to work for the strengthening of the BJP and contribute towards the progress and prosperity of Jammu & Kashmir.
