Jammu | BJP District President Rajouri, Shri Dev Raj Sharma, today called on Hon’ble Member of Parliament and BJP State President Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Sat Sharma CA, at his residence in Jammu. The meeting was held in a cordial and constructive atmosphere, focusing on organisational matters and key public welfare issues concerning Rajouri district.
During the interaction, Shri Dev Raj Sharma briefed the Hon’ble MP in detail about the various developmental and organisational works carried out by the BJP Rajouri unit. He highlighted the sustained efforts of the party cadre at the grassroots level in strengthening the organisation, reaching out to the public, and ensuring effective implementation of government schemes.
A comprehensive discussion was held on important public issues of Rajouri district, with special emphasis on PMGSY road projects, where Shri Sharma apprised the State President about the status, progress, and challenges related to rural connectivity. He stressed the need for timely completion of pending road works to ensure all-weather connectivity, particularly in far-flung and border areas.
The meeting also focused on the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Rajouri. The District President raised issues related to water supply infrastructure, coverage of left-out habitations, and the importance of ensuring functional household tap connections to every rural household as envisioned under the mission.
In addition, discussions were held on the effective execution of other centrally sponsored schemes, aimed at improving livelihoods, infrastructure, healthcare, education, and overall socio-economic development of the district. Shri Dev Raj Sharma shared feedback received from the public and party workers regarding the ground-level implementation of these schemes.
Hon’ble MP and BJP State President Shri Sat Sharma CA patiently listened to all the issues and assured that the concerns raised would be taken up with the concerned departments and authorities at the appropriate levels. He appreciated the proactive role of the BJP Rajouri unit and reiterated the party’s commitment to people-centric development, transparent governance, and last-mile delivery of welfare schemes.
